Grafting is one of the main medical processes done when someone is scheduled for a Breast Reconstructive Surgery. "Incorporation of tissue to heal another tissue is the fastest way to regenerate new tissue", Dr. Oscar Milborne , California Medical Center Hospital.

In Breast Reconstructive Surgery, fat cell tissues are being use for replacement, as mammary gland is mainly composed of fat cells. For many years, many surgeons rely on harvesting fat cells from the abdomen to cover and replace the removed breast for breast cancer agents and other breast reconstructive procedure.

However, Dr. Koelle and his team found another way aside from harvesting fat cells. They are now developing the so called "Stem Cells" for reconstructive surgery for a one hundred percent complete healing.

The said stem cell comes from a bolus fat tissue. It was then incorporated the volunteer patient. After a few months, they compare the results of patients who underwent the stem cell procedure versus those who patients who have fat cell grafting.

The result shows that breast reconstructive procedure with stem cell repopulate faster compare to fat tissue grafting, making it faster to heal.

Another surprising fact about stem cell incorporation procedure is that, if you add the stem cell in adipose tissue, it produced fat cell that has longer life expectancy.

Koelle also found similar outcome when he conducted research participated by ten healthy patients, in which the result shows that, almost 64% have a larger fat cell production compare to those who underwent grafting.

With the mentioned benefits, it strengthen the idea that stem cell is an effective procedural way to heal other tissue. However, majority in the medical world agreed that stem cell therapy needs further research and investigation, before it will become an official treatment.
