While California and ten other states in America already made a stand with the Marijuana Legalization issue, but Colorado and Nevada is considering the idea of conducting initiatives such as a ballot initiative to know the people's view with regards to the said issue. "We want to consider our people before we make a stand, as we consider them as our boss", authorities in Colorado said.

Nevada Government also agree with what Colorado authorities have said, as they would also want to put the people's view about marijuana legalization on top of priority, "our people will always be on top of the priority", Nevada government report stated.

The said Colorado and Nevada ballot initiative result says that, almost half says that they are not in favor with the legalization. The said voters who said "NO" to legalization are convinced that possibility of drug abuse is high.  "Most of those who vote for NO belong to the younger age, as most of them are not aware with the history of cannabis industry, although they are aware with its therapeutic effect".

According to statistics, almost 15 million Americans use marijuana for therapeutic purposes. Hence other American would like to legalize it, as it can help them in medical services.

However, aside from the anti-marijuana says that it can be addictive; another reason as to why they voted for "NO" is that, they view cannabis as something that has the same effect with alcohol which they referred as "soft drug". "Soft drug is far different from "hard drugs" such as cocaine and heroin, people are easy addicted with cannabis", Dr. Emily Douglas, stated, lab technologist.

Also the said ballot initiative's result states that still, younger American believe that they are aware with alcohol problem, and also understood violence that it may bring if cannabis legalization will be imposed.
