A dead baby was found inside a teenage girl's bag at a Victoria's Secret store in Manhattan; according to the police, there is a chance the baby was born alive before was asphyxiated.
The baby was discovered yesterday, when a security guard stopped two teenagers at the store. One of them, Tiana Rodriguez, 17, who reportedly gave birth to the baby, put the infant's body in a bag she was carrying when detained.
Both teenagers, Rodriguez and Francis Estevez, were stopped by the security guard on suspicion they were shoplifting.
"I had delivered a day earlier and I didn't know what to do," told Rodriguez to the police. "That's why I was carrying the remains in a bag."
Daily News reported that one of Rodriguez's neighbors said she wasn't aware of her pregnancy adding "Rodriguez would never do something like that".
Currently, Rodriguez is being evaluated at a hospital to determine if she experimented a miscarriage and she could face more serious charges due to the suspicious death of the baby.
