A video of Knowshon Moreno of the Denver Broncos crying during the national anthem last Sunday went viral and had the fans talking. Some even commented that crying would even be considered an understatement as the 26 year old footballer really let out a river of tears.
On Monday, during an interview Moreno joked that he was just hydrated, he also insists that he is just an emotional guy. "I don't know, I guess the slow motion made it look a little worse than it was" he adds.
It was unclear how the singing of the Star-Sprangled Banner during the Broncos and Chiefs game moved him to tears.
According to him, he just really got caught in the moment. "I am just thinking about everything in general through your whole life, just balled up into one. Yeah, it helps me. Sometimes I don't even notice it, it just comes" he commented.
The running back's emotions are nothing surprising to his Broncos teammates. He's known on every road game to lead his team on a full on sprint out of the visiting tunnel. His teammates are pretty much accustomed to Moreno's over the top antics.
Head Coach John Fox said that Knowshon is someone who really shows a lot of passion and emotion on the game, his character has garnered him a lot of respect out in the field and in the lockers.
