Spiderman fans rejoice! the new trailer for the second movie has been released and if it is to be believed there are some sticky situations upfront in Amazing Spider-Man 2. Stars of the reboot, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, return to play Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey. The real and reel life couple will be joined by a new cast of villains namely Jamie Foxx (as Electro), Paul Giamatti (as the Rhino) and Kill Your Darlings actor Dane De Haan (as the Green Goblin).

In the role previously performed by James Franco, De Haan is rumored to play a big part in the Amazing Spider-Man 2 as it is as yet unconfirmed if he will kill Parker's love interest, Stacey, in this installment. This is an important plot point in the comic book version of the franchise and fans are waiting to see if they will stay faithful to the original source.

Also noteworthy are the new villains who are more powerful than the young crime fighter. As the superhero narrates in the trailer: ""Every day I wake up knowing that the more people I save, the more enemies I will make. It's just a matter of time before I face those with more power than I can overcome." How would the youthful web slinger fare against the new threats to New York?

Also a thrilling development in Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the revelation of Parker's father, Richard Parker. In the trailer, the older Parker talks about stumbling into Oscorp's evil intent; a discovery that caused him to flee and hide from the world and in effect, abandoning his son. Followers of the franchise are wound up about this progress as it gives more insight as to the origins of everyone's favorite web slinger.

One thing's for sure though, the trailer for Amazing Spider-Man 2 has certainly lived up to the amazing hype.
