The megawatt couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West seems to have been sharing more and more traits lately. In the past, it was Kanye who always compared himself to his idols, Shakespeare and Jesus to name a few; but more recently, fiancé Kim Kardashian has also been on an homage kick-the reality star posted a selfie on her Instagram page copying a photo of Elizabeth Taylor detail for detail.
If for nothing else, Kim Kardashian should be commended on mastering the art of taking a flattering photo of one's self. The newest one being a picture of her hair wrapped in a towel imitating a photo of Taylor behind her. Kim also wears a stunning, large diamond on her hand which she poses to copy the fore mentioned photograph. She also includes the hash tag "MyIdol" in her Instagram description. Netizens, however, have been quick to say that the TV personality is no Elizabeth Taylor.
Kim Kardashian has never been shy of declaring the fact that the celebrated actress has always been a huge inspiration to her, she was in fact the last person to interview the icon in a February 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar before the icon died. And you have to give Kim some props as she was direct to the point when she asked: ""You are my idol. But I'm six husbands and some big jewels behind. What should I do?"
To which the violet-eyed Taylor replied, "I never planned to acquire a lot of jewels or a lot of husbands. For me, life happened, just as it does for anyone else. I have been supremely lucky in my life in that I have known great love, and of course I am the temporary custodian of some incredible and beautiful things."
Looks like Kim Kardashian still has some catching up to do before the world lauds her the next Elizabeth Taylor.
