Amy Poehler may have felt a little too happy after winning her first ever award for Best Actress in a comedy/musical when the "Parks and Recreation" star smooched Bono on the lips at Sunday night's awards ceremony.

The shocked Golden Globes host was ecstatic when she finally raked in a win in the best comedy actress category on Sunday when she kissed the U2 frontman, who already has a Golden Globe to his name for winning best original song, square on the lips before going up to claim her prize.

It seems that Poehler may have had an inkling she would be taking home the prize for she had been within striking distance from Bono when the presenters announced her win.

The now-single comedian, who was also the host of Sunday's ceremony with fellow SNL alum Tina Fey, could not resist seizing her chance to make out with the 53-year-old rock star when it was announced that Poehler had finally won her maiden award.

Bono, who is happily married to his wife of 22 years, had been busy giving Amy Poehler a preparatory rubdown as the nominess were listed and was more than happy to share in the fun.

The 42-year-old blond punched her fist triumphantly as she walked to the stage to accept her award. She capped it off with a short but witty acceptance speech.

Mindful of brevity perhaps due to her dual role as the night's host, Poehler said as she accepted her award, "'I never win, so I cant believe I won."

The former SNL star had previously never took home a major award for her role in "Parks and Recreation," despite several nominations including an Emmy in 2010 and Best Comedy Actress in the Golden Globes of 2012 and 2013.

In "Parks and Recreation," Poehler plays a mid-level bureaucrat named Leslie Knope in the parks department of Pawnee, a fictional town in Indiana.
