The bloodbath, with full horror and screaming sword fighting is based on the 1998 comic book by Frank Miller, co-working with Lynn Varley. The visually excellent comic book led to a movie on 2007 by Zack Snyder. With Frank Miller as the executive producer and consultant, the film is directed with chroma key technique to imitate the images portrayed in the original comic book.
Other casts of the upcoming American movie are Lena Headey, Hans Matheson, David Wenham, Rodrigo Santoro, Igal Naor, Callan Mulvey, Jack O'Connell, and Adrew Tiernan.
The first TV spot for 300: Rise of an Empire was released by Warner Bros. as part of its promotion, along with its "Seize your Glory" poster.
The spot contains the Xerxes preparation to invade major Greek city Athens, together with Artemisia to wage war against Greek navy led by General Themistocles.
The story also tells how the general attempt to unify Greece to triumph against Xerxes troop. Themistocles was forced to join it rival Sparta.
