The championship window for the Miami Heat is slowly closing, but the defending champions will look to have a better shot on winning their third-straight title this season before their "Big Three" era comes to an end.

The Heat, who could lose either LeBron James or Chris Bosh via free agency next summer, are reportedly planning to make one more major move before the trade deadline to keep in step with their massively-improving rivals.

NBA analyst David Aldridge reported that the Heat could covet a wing player in the coming weeks. The Heat are high on Greg Oden after the oft-injured center impressed in his first few games, but team executives are still looking for additional depth on their wing rotation.

"With Oden looking like he can be a contributor, the Heat sent veteran center Joel Anthony to Boston last week as part of a three-team deal that brought guard Toney Douglas to Miami. But people around the league think the Heat are still looking to make another deal, for a wing, before the trade deadline," Aldridge noted.

Previous rumors suggested that the Heat are planning to sit down with the Philadelphia 76ers about a possible deal involving Evan Turner, who is reportedly on trading block after failing to reach an extension with the Sixers.

Turner, who is averaging 18.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game this season, could be a good fit to the Heat especially with Dwyane Wade missing games due to his ailing knee. However, it remains to be seen whether or not the Heat have enough pieces to convince the Sixers to send the fourth-year forward to the Heat.

Sources also added that the Heat are also looking for backcourt help as proven by previous reports that indicated their strong interest in acquiring Kyle Lowry. The veteran point guard is still on their radar, but the Toronto Raptors look determined to keep Lowry for the remainder of the season.

With Lowry out of the picture at this point, the Heat could turn their attention to Kirk Hinrich, another player who is expected to be dealt before the trade deadline. It is hard to imagine the Chicago Bulls trading Hinrich to their rival, but the Bulls are reportedly more than willing to become sellers this season.

"The Chicago Bulls may not want to trade with a rival, but Hinrich could be an option if the team continues to sell after dealing Luol Deng to the Cavaliers. Lowry has been mentioned in multiple trades with the Raptors, including to the NY Knicks, but that talk has cooled and things could pick up once it gets closer to the trading deadline," Sports World noted in their report.
