Sylvia Matthews Burwell, Obama's Candidate As Next Secretary Of Health And Human Resources

Sylvia Matthews Burwell has been nominated by the White House and President Barrack Obama himself to replace the recently resigned Secretary of health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius. Burwell is currently the White House Director for the Office of Management and Budget, she was confirmed by the Senate last year on April 24, 2013.
The White House Chief of Staff, Denis McDonough gave a statement for the New York Times, saying "The President wants to make sure we have a proven manager and relentless implementer in the job over there, which is why he is going to nominate Sylvia".
One of the most powerful position in the United States is the Secretary of Health and Human Services, which was previously given to Kathleen Sebelius, after passing the Obama Health Care Law by the President on March 2010. Sebelius was also called the "Empress of Obamacare', having extended powers under the law.
The upcoming Secretary of Health and Human Services, Sylvia Matthews Burwell, will inherit the power to choose the type of insurance the American citizens may have, when the enrollment period for the health care will start and end, determine exemptions towards acquiring the coverage, and notable abilities that can improve the health law without authorization from the Congress.
Sylvia Matthews Burwell was the former president of the Walmart Foundation, and also devoted a decade working for the Bill & Melinda Gate Foundation, before she joined the Administration under Obama. The Wall Strees Journal also reported that Burwell has served fro prominent positions under the Clinton administration, handling different roles for the federal budget and treasury.
The White House also issued a statement about having confidence in choosing Sylvia Matthews Burwell as a candidate for the Secretary of HHS position. Saying "The President sought a nominee with strong credentials in management, implementation, and performance for this important role." Burwell is believed to posses the ability for improving the Obamacare law.
