Is Channing Tatum bisexual? Well, that's what a circulating report is claiming, but this is not actually the first time the 'Magic Mike' star has been plagued by bisexual and gay rumors.
Channing Tatum bisexual rumors are currently on the rise after a preview of the '22 Jump street' has been released. In the promo clip, Hollywood hottie Channing Tatum could be seen holding hands with co-star Jonah Hill while his other hand grabs his co-actor's package.
Although the intention of the clip is to tease about the comedic antics of the film, it seems that some fans and critics have jumped into the conclusion that Tatum might be bisexual or gay all along.
Many critics of the actor even looked back to the 2002 feature of Channing Tatum in Out Magazine. Back then, the starting celebrity was snapped in a shirtless man-to-man wrestling match, and critics noted that he looked very comfortable despite the Valentine themed shoot.
Nevertheless, in an interview with Out, Channing didn't really say anything about sexuality. He focused more on his struggles as a struggling model, who also did stripping for a living.
"I never enjoyed the taking-the-clothes-off part. You are on a stage with people yelling at you, and you feel you're a rock star," Tatum said. "But you're nothing--you're just a guy taking off his clothes, looking like a fool in a stupid outfit."
Ironically, almost 11 years after that interview, Channing Tatum starred in the controversial film "Magic Mike" where he played a character who does stripping to make both ends meet.
Amid the peak of the movie's popularity, Channing Tatum was also plagued by bisexual and homosexual rumors, but the Hollywood hottie, who is already married to "Witches of East End' star Jenna Dewan, didn't really mind all the circulating gossip and whatnot.
In a more recent interview with Out magazine, Channing Tatum admitted that hi movie was not really made for straight men.
"People say that women and the gay community will go see it-knock on wood-but I know straight guys won't be like, 'Yo, what's up man-you wanna go see the stripping movie after the game tonight?' I doubt they'll have the balls to see it. What's funny is that the girls don't ask me questions about my stripping days," he said. "But straight guys want to know everything. It's that fantasy element. It's probably why a lot of females on Halloween are the whorey version of a ketchup bottle, or slutty nurse, which I love and respect. It's liberating."
Interestingly, in the same interview, Channing Tatum got a few raised brows for saying, "With Joe Manganiello naked in a movie, I think even straight guys are going to be, 'Shit, I need to see that. That man is a specimen.'"
Despite all these scandalous bisexual and gay rumors, the actor has remained resilient. What's more is that after nearly 12 years of being in the showbiz industry, Channing Tatum has proven his worth as a Hollywood actor. In fact, he recently received an acknowledgement award from MTV for standing out from his peers.
Stephen Friedman, president of MTV, explained that Tatum received the Trailblazer award for his ability to seamlessly marry emotion with violence. "Channing Tatum is the quintessential leading man for the MTV audience...He proves that an action hero can have both a quick wit and a large heart," Friedman added.
