71-Year-Old Sex Offender Charged For Showing His Genitals To A 10-Year-Old Girl At Bookstore Pleaded Not Guilty

A 71-year-old San Jose sex offender charged for showing a 10-year-old-girl at a bookstore was reported to have pleaded not guilty to molestation and other sexual abuse charges in court on Thursday. According to reports made by NBC Bay Area.
Documents submitted to the court depicts that the accused sex offender, Christopher Miller, was reported for enticing the young girl to go to an isolated portion of the Barnes and Noble bookstore in San Mateo in June of last year. He was also noted to have exposed private parts of himself to the 10-year-old girl and then forcing her to touch him.
It was also noted that the sex offender from San Jose was said to have approached the young girl while she was at the children' reading section on June 23, at around 3 p.m, at the Barnes and Noble bookstore located at 11 W. Hillsdale Blvd. According to prosecutors, the 71-year old sex offender took advantage of the girl during at that time and place, showing off his genitals and forcing her to touch him. He was also said to have lured the young girl near the bathrooms which is a secluded area of the bookstore and repeatedly showed his private part and touched the clothing of the victim.
Prosecutors of the case also stated that the sex offender asked the name and address of the 10-year-old girl, and inquired if she was normally alone.
The 71-year-old sex offender, Cristopher Miller, was arrested through the efforts of different agencies tasked to apprehend sexual offenders in September. He was also discovered to had a similar sexual molestation and abuse case that happened in a Mountain View Walmart in Union City
The District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe in San Mateo, said on a statement that the accused 71-year-old sex offender was convicted in Santa Clara County last year on Nov. 5 for felony child annoyance and indecent exposure charges, and was sentenced in a state prison for 4 years.
The 71-year-old sex offender, Cristopher Miller, pleaded not guilty on charges for exposing, kidnapping, forced oral copulation, and child molestation on Thursday, according to the District Attorney. A scheduled jury trial will is set to begin this year on Oct. 6, and that the accused sex offender is still in the custody of the police with a current bail set to $25,000.
