Remember the days when the name Chris Brown was associated with fresh talent, amazing vocals and a stellar career ahead of him. Yes, it seems too long ago when Brown was the 16 year old up and coming star who's first few singles"Yo (Excuse Me Miss), "Say Goodbye" peaked atop the US Billboard Hot 100, He became the first male lead artist since Diddy in 1997 to have his debut single which was "Run It!" top the chart. Most of his tracks were co-written with him basing his tunes on normal experiences as a 16 year old like getting into trouble sneaking in his girl late at night or taking the car out for a spin without permission.

It seems we could only be left hoping that this boy would stay forever clean cut and innocent. He grew up made more mature sounding hits and his career only seemed to flourish.

In 2007 he released his next album Exclusive which had the hits such as "With You" and "Forever" and his second Hot 100 number one "Kiss Kiss".

In 2011 he won his first Grammy award for his fourth album F.A.M.E. with the hit singles "Yeah 3x", "Look at Me Now", and "Beautiful People" his first hits to top the Billboard top 200.

But despite all of his success year after year case after case more and more allegations started to pile one after the other, his history of violence (the infamous domestic violence case with his then girlfriend Rihanna), as well as other run ins with other artist such as Drake and Frank Ocean, there's also his involvement with drugs, his string of egotistic almost juvenile antics eating away at the public's and critics favorable view of the artist.

Most recently Brown's admittance to voilating his terms of a probation over an altercation last year which occurred at a hotel outside of Washington, D.C. resulted in him being sentenced for probation to serve an additional 131 days in jail.

We can only hope that Brown will take this extended time to reflect on his past actions, that it will seve as a wake up call which will push him to clean up his act entirely for good this time.
