NBA Trade Rumors 2014: Denver Nuggets Could Trade Kenneth Faried, Javale McGee This Summer

The Denver Nuggets are expected to make big moves this summer as their executives are reportedly determined to do what it takes to become playoff contenders again next season.
Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly, whose team finished with a 36-46 record this season, is expecting a big offseason for the team this summer, saying that the team will go all-in this offseason.
"We came here with pretty high expectations and certainly didn't meet our internal goals. This summer, we're going to go all-in and try to take the next step," Connelly said via The Denver Post.
Connelly revealed that he has already sent a strong signal to other teams that they are open for talks this summer in hopes of getting roster pieces that could help the team make the playoffs again next season.
"I've already let all the other guys in different front offices around the league know that we're open for business," Connelly said. "If you really study our team, we have a lot of flexibility."
And by going all-in, Connelly is reportedly ready to make big trades this summer, and most analysts are convinced that Kenneth Faried and Javale McGee could be dealt before the 2014-15 NBA season.
Most analysts believe that Faried will draw significant interests on the trade front this offseason after averaging 13.7 points and 8.6 rebounds per game this season, while McGee is not expected to be an attractive asset after playing only five games this year due to injury.
"Javale McGee and Kenneth Faried will probably have their name thrown around a lot in rumors and debates. Faried would probably be the more intriguing of the two in debate rumors since McGee's trade value is low," Sports Illustrated's FanSided reported.
But while McGee's value is low this summer, the Nuggets will reportedly try to package him in big deals. The team is reportedly eager to get McGee's $11.25 million and $12 million salary in the next two seasons off their books.
"Moving McGee and his contract might be the biggest priority for the Nuggets. McGee is slated to make $11.25 million in the 2014-15 season and then $12 million the season after that," FanSided noted.
