DWTS Elimination Season 18 has been nothing but shocking as the competition is already heading to the finale. After seeing Danica McKellar end her dancing journey last week, everyone was pretty much at odds on who is exiting the hit ABC competition during its recently concluded week 9. In the end, we saw Olympics gold medalist Charlie White bidding his farewell to the other contenders and to the show.

Last night, we saw five dancing couples battle it all out on the "American Icons" themed show: Amy Purdy and Derek Hough, Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas, Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd, and Charlie White and Sharna Burgess. Each couple performed two different ballroom dance routines without additional group gimmicks on the side. Although Charlie White and his dancing partner Sharna Burgess got a solid score of 76 out of 80, they landed in the bottom two with White's former Olympics ice dancing partner Meryl Davis and her pair Maks Chmerkovskiy. In the end, it was Charlie White who got eliminated during the DWTS Elimination Season 18 Week 9, the last week prior to the finale.

The elimination last night was indeed a total shocker. For one, "Full House" alum Candace Cameron Bure and partner Mark Ballas were actually in jeopardy of going home last week. However, Bure proved to be a tough contender after she wowed the judges and the audience with a sexier side that everyone's hardly seen before.

The other dancing couples also gave it their all out best. Maslow and Murgatoryd set the dance floor on fire as they delivered an explosive routine highlighting Michael Jackson's style. Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy and Derek Hough also gave it their all despite Purdy's recent injuries. Meanwhile the paralympic contender never failed to voice out her appreciation to her fans, who have been with her throughout her DWTS journey. In a recent Twitter update, Purdy said, "Can't help but feel like the past 8 weeks have gone by entirely too fast, I never want this journey to end! #PurdyHough #DWTS."

Here's a quick run-down of the scores the top five dancing stars got from their routines this week:

Candace Cameron Bure got 34 points for her Viennese Waltz routine to "If I Knew" by Bruno Mars and received 38 points for her Jazz routing to "Nasty" by Janet Jackson.

Amy Purdy got 39 points for her quickstep to "You Can't Hurry Love" by The Supremes and snagged 39 points for her Jazz to "Too Darn Hot" by Ella Fitzgerald.

James Maslow received 40 points for his cha-cha to Escape by Michael Jackson and another 36 points for his Rumba to "Islands in the Stream" by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.

Meryl Davis also got a perfect 40 for her jive to "Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley and anther 40 for her Viennese Waltz to "Just a Fool" by Christina Aguilera.

Charlie White also managed to achieve a perfect 40 for his foxtrot to "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra and snagged 36 points for his Samba to "Mo Money Mo Problems" by "Notorious B.I.G.

After their dance performances, it came down to the former ice dancing partners Davis and White, who landed the bottom two this week. And not surprisingly, the weaker one between the two was sent home during the DWTS Elimination Season 18, and it was Charlie White who ended up saying his goodbye.

Nevertheless, White didn't show any regret or sadness over the shocking news of his elimination from the competition. He even said that the remaining dancing stars deserve their slot in the finale. "I think all of these people are so deserving," he said, adding, "Now, I can 100 percent be team Meryl."
