Meryl Davis is dating nobody as of late, but it's not surprising that she is being linked to her professional partners every once in a while. While she was still busy with the Olympic competitions, she was rumored to be dating her long-time ice dancing partner Charlie White. And now that she has joined ABC's 'Dancing With The Stars,' she is being romantically linked to her pro dancing partner Maks Chmerkovskiy.
Given the 27-year-old's beauty, grace, and talent, many claim that it's crazy if none of her professional partners have had developed special feelings for her. However, this has already been proven possible after it was publicly revealed that Davis' ice dancing partner Charlie White wasn't actually interested in courting the Michigan hailed beauty. In fact, by the time numerous rumors and speculations, claiming that White and Davis were secretly dating, surfaced the former has already dropped the bomb by saying that he was not and still is not available.
Just prior to the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, where the ice dancing partners finished gold, it was revealed that Charlie White has actually been dating former ice-dancing, Canadian-American beauty, Tanith Belbin.
Following the revelation, many felt sad for Meryl Davis, who was said to have shared a distinct type of chemistry with White all throughout their ice-dancing journey.
However, it seems everyone was quick to change their minds regarding Davis' romantic downfall after she got a spot in the 18th season of 'Dancing With The Stars.'
Being paired with Maks Chmerkovskiy, the so-called bad boy on the DWTS dance floor, may have caused a huge stir among the 27-year-old's fans. For one, many quickly concluded that Davis could have a chance in Maksim's heart.
Just like how it was with Charlie White, Meryl Davis was also constantly being followed by dating rumors ever since her sparkling chemistry with Maksim Chmerkovskiy became undeniable. People has even reported time after time that the two have been so close such that many believed that they are dating off the dance floor.
"I feel that I can really be myself with Maks," Davis once told People on her personal relationship with Maks. "He pushes me to stand up for myself, whether it's in real life or on the dance floor. It's cool."
Likewise, Maks also dished that he feels something special for the Olympics medalist. "She lets me be creative," the 34-year-okd said. "I've already done more on this season than I've done on Dancing with the Stars in 13 seasons."
Sofia Barrett-Ibarria of Bustle, who seems to be a big fan of the rumored couple, opined in her feature article of the two that Davis and Chmerkovskiy "should date." She even pointed out the sweet and charming gestures of the two in their Instagram posts, noting that it's not hard to imagine how beautiful their children could possibly be if they do end up together.
Meanwhile, to this date the two have not yet spoken about the real score between them. They are constantly being spotted hanging out in public places, but they have never addressed the rumors. What we do know though is that the two are among the dancing couples, who are battling it out in the DWTS 2014 finale.
Interestingly, Meryl's former ice dancing partner Charlie White, who got axed from the competition, is to make a special participation in the show's finale by performing a special number with Davis. Sources say they have prepared something big! However, this is not something that's been putting smiles on the faces of Davis' fans. Instead, its the thought that she will be dancing with her ex-rumored boyfriend and current rumored boyfriend in just one night!
