Looks like CW is giving its primetime shows the axe treatment yet again after it confirmed that some of its serial drama have seriously been dumped, and by that we mean cancelled.
So which show fans are going to be disappointed and go crazy over this heart-breaking news? Let's find out.
The CW has officially announced and confirmed that three of its youthful shows are not returning for a brand-new season.
The three shows are The Carrie Diaries, Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People.
So sorry for the relatively long-running series The Carrie Diaries. At least show fans of the other two won't miss them so much given their freshmen status.
Still all three of them will be a big loss for many fans who have grown that desire to follow their storylines. And it's quite unfortunate that Stephen Amell may be the only Amell we will see on The CW's primetime slots.
Carrie Diaries reportedly raked in 1.1 million people, Star-Crossed managed to snag 1.3 million viewers and Tomorrow People got 1.9 million show followers. That said all the figures were not enough to save the shows from getting axed.
Now, as if the axing of these three weren't enough, CW has decided to kill its hit show's upcoming spin-off. Yes! The much anticipated 'Supernatural' spin-off "Tribes" or "Bloodlines" or whatever has been cancelled before it could even start airing.
Spun off from CW's long-running but still hit series "Supernatural," the spin-off project was supposed to be one of the highest-profile pilots the network is offering this year.
The reason for the early cancellation of the show according to EW is that only a third of viewers, who were asked to join the poll about the pilot of the new show, claimed it was worth watching.
