"Harry Potter" star David Legeno's death is not at all a hoax like what many celebs and famous personalities have been dealing with lately. The British actor reportedly passed away while hiking near Death Valley, California, CNN has learned.
According to the County Sheriff's Office, the 50-year-old "Harry Potter" star died while he was hiking and his body was discovered by two hikers on Sunday.
The "Harry Potter" star played werewolf villain Fenrir Greyback in three of the "Harry Potter" films namely: "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince," "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2."
David Legeno;'s was reportedly found in a remote desert location west of Zabriskie Point; hence, it had to be transported using a helicopter, as per a press release from the Inyo County Sheriff's Department.
"The remains have been identified as David Legeno, a 50-year-old United Kingdom man. It appears that Legeno died of heat related issues, but the Inyo County Coroner will determine the final cause of death. There are no signs of foul play," an excerpt from the press release read.
The Mirror reports that Legeno died of heat-related issues while hiking alone, and his death is not being treated as suspicious.
Apart from being known as a "Harry Potter" star, Legeno has also made remarkable appearances in big films such as "Snow White and the Hunstman" and "Batman Begins."
Legeno just recently concluded his filming for "The Last Knights" which stars Morgan Freeman and Clive Owen.
The "Harry Potter" actor was also an MMA fighter and boxer. He lived in southern England with his daughter. Legeno was also an expert in boxing, judo and Jiu-jitsu.
Meanwhile, because celebrity death hoaxes have been surfacing on the Internet non-stop some fans couldn't help but feel uneasy about initial reports of the "Harry Potter" star's death. It was only until major news sites such as BBC and CNN reported about the actor's passing that skeptical fans began to express their sympathy to the family and friends of the actor on social media.
