3 Wrestlers Plane Crash: 4 Students Dead Including 3 Wrestling Team Members In Tragic Sightseeing Flight Accident After First Day of School [VIDEO & REPORT]

3 wrestlers plane crash - A very unfortunate news has befallen the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland after it was found out that four of its students, including three members of the wrestling varsity of the team, were killed in a tragic fiery plane crash on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

According to Fox Sports, the incident now tagged as the "3 wrestlers plane crash" case happened when four college students decided to enjoy a sightseeing flight around Cleveland following their first day of classes.

Sadly, several minutes after their plane took off, the small aircraft they rented crashed and burned, killing all of them instantly.

The 3 wrestlers in the plane crash were identified by authorities as Lucas Marcelli, 20, Abraham Pishevar, 18, and John Hill, also 18. The fourth student, who according to reports was the pilot of the flight, was identified as William Felten, 20.

Marcelli and Felten, who are from Massilon, Ohio and Saginaw, Michigan, respectively, were sophomores while the remaining two students were on their freshman year in college.

National Transportation Safety Board Peter Knudson said that the "3 wrestlers plane crash" incident took place while the flight was already heading its way to return to the airport.

A preliminary report is expected from the investigators next week while the full investigation is believed to take one full year to complete, reported Times Dispatch.

Marcelli's father, Bryan, said his son and the three other students simply planned to take a quick look around and enjoy the beauty of Cleveland from above, adding that Lucas is one hard-working student but not a risk-taker.

"If he wasn't my son, I'd want my son to be around him, because he was such a positive influence," Marcelli said of his son, who is one of the 3 wrestlers in the plane crash. "I don't know anybody that doesn't like him."

The university's wrestling coach Mark Hawald voiced his thoughts on the death of the 3 wrestlers in the plane crash, saying that no coach is ever prepared to hear such unfortunate news happening to his young athletes.

"We're just coping and mourning and figuring how we can move on from losing three of our teammates, three of our brothers, three of our family," Hawald said.

The Federal Aviation Administration, along with the National Transportation Safety Board, will be investigating what really took place in the "3 wrestlers plane crash" incident.

Nevertheless, earlier statements from several witnesses already revealed a few details on what may have happened prior to the crash.

Mark Gerald, 45, who saw the aerial tragedy, said that he heard the sound of the plane struggling in the air but didn't really see it until it crashed and exploded.

Gerald added that he and some of his neighbors ran toward the wreckage in an attempt to help any possible survivors.

"We thought we had [a chance to help them]. It was too hot," he told the Northeast Ohio Media Group as per a Jacksonville.com report. "The whole fuselage was involved."
