Joan Rivers dead? Many are quite unsure on whether the comedienne and television host is already dead or is still recuperating following the traumatic events during one of her routine surgeries this week. So is Joan Rivers dead?
According to New York Daily News, Joan Rivers isn't dead. The 81-year-old actress is reportedly still on a comatose condition, with doctors trying their best to spare her from the life-or-death situation she's currently in.
The "Fashion Police" co-host's daughter, Melissa, even flew in from California with her son Cooper on Thursday amid the circulating Joan Rivers dead rumors.
Melissa rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her mother is staying the day after Rivers nearly died.
As oppose to the Joan Rivers dead rumors, doctors maintain that the television personality is in a medically-induced coma.
On Thursday, the legendary comic stopped breathing during one of her routine surgeries.
Rumors that Joan Rivers is dead came when it was not immediately confirmed that she has recovered from the unfortunate incident, which was reportedly due to cardiac and respiratory arrest.
Today, it was revealed that prior to the incident and the circulation of the Joan Rivers dead rumors, the TV producer joked about dying before the surgery, Classicalite has learned.
"She did a joke onstage, she goes, 'I'm 81 -- I could go at any moment,'" Shade Rupe, 45, who attended Rivers' Wednesday night show at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, said. "'I could fall over right here and you all could say, 'I was there!'" Rupe continued to recall.
Rivers did the show just 12 hours before she underwent her routine surgery.
In a statement to Deadline, Melissa gushed that she's thankful for everyone who has been very supportive to her mother.
"I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother. She is resting comfortably and is with our family. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers," Rivers' only child said.
No word if Joan Rivers might be brought out of the coma state soon has been released yet.
