Liz Lee's leaked photos are now considered as child pornography since it was found out that she was only 16 when the racy pics were taken; hence, Reddit has decided that it will be removing all nude photos of the MTV star, alongside McKayla Maroney's leaked photos, Daily Mail has learned.
In the latest update on the biggest controversy this week involving the massive leak of celebrity nude photos, Reddit has taken legal action in removing Liz Lee's leaked photos, as well as McKayla Maroney's, since it was found out that both female personalities were underage when the sexy snaps were captured.
Liz Lee's leaked photos were reportedly taken by her former boyfriend when she was just 16 years of age.
Similar to Lee's case, Maroney's attorneys have asked several sites such as Porn.com to remove the 18-year-old Olympic gymnast's nude photos because they are considered as child pornography.
The lawyers also confirmed that McKayla Maroney's leaked photos were taken when she was under 18.
One attorney singled out that Maroney has the copyright to the leaked nude photos.
According to TMZ, Porn.com immediately responded to the letter of Maroney's lawyers by removing her controversial photo from its webpage.
Consequently, Liz Lee's leaked photos that were uploaded on Reddit have also been removed and deleted.
"Liz's pictures were taken in 2007 when she was 16 years old by an ex of hers. He is a current sex offender because he posted them to 4chan. We have been instructed by the reddit admins to remove these images as well," an official statement on the removal of Lee's photos read, according to International Business Times.
"Effective immediately: any images/galleries/torrents/mega dumps/ etc. containing Mckayla Maroney or Liz Lee will be immediately removed due to the fact that they were underage (<18) in the photos taken," site moderator SickorSane wrote.
Additionally, Reddit has promised that it will be deleting all photos of underage celebrities from its site. Not only that, they are also asking their users who may have downloaded copies of the snaps to delete them from their hard drives.
As of late, it is still not clear how Liz Lee's leaked photos, McKayla Maroney and Jennifer Lawrence's scandalous pics and Kate Upton's racy snaps surfaced on the Internet, but Apple has already confirmed that hackers may have possibly broken into their iCloud accounts by resetting their security questions.
