LAPD Arrests Hollywood Actress After Mistaking Her For Prostitute

The Los Angeles Police Department temporarily arrested and detained Hollywood actress Daniele Watts and her boyfriend Brian James Lucas this past week after receiving a report of indecent exposure by the couple.

According to a statement from the LAPD, some officers from its patrol squad in North Hollywood responded to the 911 call about a couple 'making out' in a silver Mercedes parked near CBS Studios.

The officers then proceeded to the location and arrested the two suspects who 'matched the description' provided. However, the suspects were released shortly after investigations cleared them of any wrongdoing.

While the LAPD have portrayed the incident as a case of mistaken identity in a routine procedure, the 'Django Unchained' star has accused the cops of racial profiling.

In a long Facebook post, she writes "I was sitting in the back of the police car, I remembered the countless times my father came home frustrated or humiliated by the cops when he had done nothing wrong. I felt his shame, his anger, and my own feelings of frustration for existing in a world where I have allowed myself to believe that "authority figures" could control by BEING...my ability to BE!!!!!!!"

Her caucasian boyfriend, who is reported to be a chef, has revealed that the black actress refused to provide any proof of her identification to the cops when they requested it. This allegedly forced the cops to tow her into their car "roughly."

The famous actress, who is part of the cast of Showtime's 'Weeds' and FX's 'Partners', is reported to have sustained bruises from the tight handcuff latched to her wrist.

"These cops could not stop me from expressing myself. They could not stop the cathartic tears and rage from flowing out of me. They could not force me to feel bad about myself. Yes, they had control over my body, but not my emotions. My feelings. My spirit was, and is still FREE," She wrote on her Facebook wall on Sunday.

This emotional rant has spread like wild fire on the web and many fans have sent messages of support to the actress. At the moment it is unclear if she will file any charges against the LAPD.

Meanwhile, the police have disclosed than an internal investigation has been opened into the incident.
