A Chinese student will get involved in Elizabeth's new plan, which aims to secure a peace treaty between China and Japan. When the student confesses something terrible, Elizabeth will start to question whether the peace treaty between the two countries is the best thing to have at this point in time. The student is said to be looking for a political asylum when she faces McCord.
