New iMac release - Apple officially unveiled the new iMac and the 2014 Mac Mini. As the world awaits the new Apple gadgets, the reported release dates created a fuss between tech people online.
Rumors says that there was no exact release date announced for the new iMac, however the new all in one desktop might not see an official launch until later this year, as well as the new Mac Mini.
Gotta Be Mobile reported KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the reported the new 27-inch Retina iMac will at least begin its shipping before the end of the year but no specific timeline had been provided. He also noted that the 21.5 inch Retina iMac is also on its way but won't release until early next year.
It has been no surprise to all tech people and gadgets fanatic when last Oct. 16, Apple unveiled their new iMac. The event also featured the debut of some new iPad models and Apple launches the new version of OS X, which is now OS X Yosemite.
"Thirty years after the first Mac changed the world, the new iMac with Retina 5K display running OS X Yosemite is the most insanely great Mac we have ever made," said Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing Philip Schiller through the company's press release info. "With a breathtaking 14.7 million pixel display, faster CPU and graphics, Fusion Drive, and Thunderbolt 2, it's the most beautiful and powerful iMac ever."
Tech Times reported the newly released iMac come with an impressive 5K Retina display (5120 x 2880 pixel resolution) and measures 27 inches. It also has a generous performance booster with the top CPU being the Intel Core i7-4790K, which has an impressive speed of 4.0GHz. However, Intel's next-gen Broadwell processors won't be inside this iMac update.
Another improvement on this new iMac is that it also has the capabilities of switching to AMD graphics just like the new Mac Pro, instead of the Nvidia graphics like the current iMacs. Starting price for this new iMac is $2,499. This new 5K Retina iMac started shipping October 16.
Meanwhile, Apple also featured the debut of the new iPad models. According to Heavy, the 2014 Mac Mini is tagged by Apple as "most energy efficient desktop." It has a starting price of $499 or $100 less than the old Mac Mini. Shipment of the 2014 Mac Mini also starts same day as the new iMac.
With the release of the 5K Retina iMac and the 2014 Mac Mini cleared, people are now fussing around to grab these new products unveiled by Apple.
