On Tuesday, the 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was held in London for the first time, complete with 41 models, Taylor Swfit, Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande, Glamour Magazine reported.
The annual fashion event was moved from New York to Earl Court, London. Victoria's Secret angels graced the runway in 81 different looks. 39 wings were hand crafted for the ladies including an 18 karat piece created by artist Serkan, according to the Independent.
First stop is the "Dream Angels Fantasy Bras" worth $2 million each are worn by Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima. Mouwad jewelers used 16,000 rubies, sapphires, diamonds, and 18 karat gold and spent 1,380 hours to create the bejeweled items. This is the first time Victoria's Secret produced two fantasy bras for the fashion show.
For the second time, Taylor Swift performed in the show wearing lingerie inspired outfits. The pop star performed her song "Blank Space" and greeted her model friends Karlie Kloss and Lily Aldrige with a high-five. Swift did not have a problem blending in with the VS angels.
Ariana Grande was also present wearing customized two-piece attire matched with knee-high boots. In the midst of performing her hit song "Bang Bang", the singer got hit by a model's wings in the face. Grande made fun of the incident and tweeted: "A Victoria's Secret angel accidentally smacked me in the face with her wings and it was awesome #goals #bangbangintomyface," Daily Mail reported.
Ed Sheeran was the only male performer but he was a hit among the ladies. The British singer sung "Thinking Out Loud" while half-naked models walked around. Sheeran had a big grin on his face and even posed for Instagram photos with the ladies after the show, according to E Online.
Meanwhile, viewers can watch the event's highlights on YouTube while waiting for the coverage on CBS on Dec. 9 at 10 PM ET.
