"Superman" actor Henry Cavill and his on-and-off again girlfriend MMA fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano have allegedly separated. The couple who rekindled their romance in October last year after a brief split ended their relationship again.
Henry Cavill and Gina Carano have kept a relatively low profile when it comes to their relationship. E! News exclusively reported the good-looking couple have called it quits. In the fall of last year, the now ex-couple were spotted sharing glasses of red wine on a romantic date in Rome while earlier this year, the lovely twosome revealed that they had adopted a cute Akita puppy from Arkansas' Big Bear Akitas.
In September 2012, 31-year-old Henry Cavill first dated 32-year-old Gina Carano after the actor called off his engagement to show jumper Ellen Whitaker. According to The Daily Mail, Cavill and Carano were inseparable until a split in May. Then by July, it was reported that the "Superman" actor was seeing "Big Bang Theory" actress Kaley Cuoco.
While Cavill's relationship with Carano was low-key, his relationship with Cuoco was a high-profile one. And a year after being linked to the British hunk actor, Kaley Cuoco revealed their 10-day whirlwind romance in Cosmopolitan.
"I had no one following me until I met Superman," Cuoco told the magazine.
While Gina Carano broke up with Henry Cavill, the MMA fighter-turned-actress will join the cast of the "Kickboxer" remake along with WWE superstar Dave Bautista, UFC Welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre and Jean Claude Van Damme. As reported by MMA Junkie, Radar Films announced Carano's addition to the film.
"It will be fun to watch Gina as the sneaky and dangerous temptress, a boa constrictor of this fighting jungle," Radar Films' Ted Field stated. "Watch out kickboxers!"
Meanwhile, the talks about the UFC and Gina Carano appeared to have stalled out. As reported by Yahoo! Sports, UFC president Dana White had been optimistic that it was only a matter of time before the MMA juggernaut was able to put pen to paper with the former Strikeforce champ and bring her to fight current bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
However, the negotiations seemed to have gone sideways. Since August 2009, Carano has not fought professionally after her first-round TKO loss to Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino.
Since Henry Cavill and Gina Carano's breakup "happened a while ago," Gossip Cop has reached out to their respective reps but have yet to hear back. While Cavill will have a plenty of fight scenes in his upcoming spring of 2016 film "Batman vs. Superman," Carano will display her remarkable fighting moves in the remake of the 1989 classic "Kickboxer."
