Mom Dead In Fridge - An 11-month-old baby whose mother was murdered and dumped in a refrigerator by his father at the family's Houston apartment has been found safe in Mexico.
Reports indicate that 11-month-old Achilles Lambert was found with his father, 38-year-old Patrick Lambert, in Queretaro, Mexico on Friday afternoon, following a joint search by authorities in Mexico and the FBI.
Houston police have revealed that both the baby and his father are being transported back to the U.S. Meanwhile, an investigation into how Patrick was able to flee the U.S. unnoticed has been opened.
According to local sources, Anastasia Oalikhena Lambert, the 27-year-old mother of Achilles, was found dead inside a refrigerator on Monday around 2:30 p.m. at the family's Houston apartment. Authorities say she was stabbed to death.
Patrick, who is a person of interest in the murder, had been nowhere to be found. After mounting an unsuccessful search, investigators were informed by neighbors that Patrick has been planning to go on a trip to Mexico.
Anastasia's murder was only discovered after a maintenance worker detected foul smell coming from the family's apartment and called the cops. Upon arrival police entered the house and discovered the mom dead in the fridge. Officials suspect that the body could have been there for as long as three weeks.
Authorities say the couple had only moved into the Braeswood Oaks Apartments in southeast Houston in June. However, Patrick Lambert has reportedly lived in several places, including New York, Hawaii and Clearwater, Fla.
Neighbors say Anastasia was new to the area and neither had a job nor friends and family in the area. So when she went missing nobody noticed.
Police reports indicate that about three months ago on Sep. 2, Anastasia called 911, reporting that her husband had threatened to kill her with a knife. But when police visited the family's apartment, she refused to press charges.
