4 Killed Illinois Home - Relatives of an Illinois mother of two and her boyfriend are shocked and grief-stricken as they come to terms with the gruesome murder of the family this past weekend.
24 years old Martha Flint, her two kids Tyrone Smith, 6, and Tobias K. Smith, 4, as well as her boyfriend Demontae Rhodes, 24, were found dead in their Rockford residence on Montrose Avenue. Local police and Fire Service personnel responded to distress calls sometime before midnight when they found the family of the 4 Killed in the Illinois home.
Asst Dep. Chief Patrick Hoey said neighbors of the family have informed the cops that they heard banging on the door that night. Shortly afterwards it was reportedly forced open and gun shots were heard. Although relatives of the family of 4 killed in their Illinois home say the cops have questioned at least one person in relation to the incident, it is unclear if there have been any arrests.
Officials have not disclosed any motive for the shooting either. But at least one neighbor, who expressed shock at the incident, revealed that shady characters usually visited the flat right opposite the Flint's apartment. That apartment was also cordoned off by police tape, according to local sources.
The Winnebago County Chief Deputy Coroner William Hintz has revealed that an autopsy for the family of 4 killed in their Illinois home is scheduled to take place today.
Relatives of the late Flint family, who are still surprised at the murder, told the Rockford Register Star that they are looking to God for support.
"She worked hard, and she took care of her kids," Flint's grandmother Jesse Parham told the newspaper. "She really did."
