50 Shades R Rating - The highly anticipated film, 'Fifty Shades of Grey' has been rated R for containing strong sexual content, graphic nudity and unusual behavior.
According to reports, the Motion Picture Association of America has been given an 'R' rating to the MPAA, which is scheduled to be released on Valentine's day, February 15, 2015 .
'The Fifty Shades' of Grey R rating is due to the movie's "strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language."
'The Fifty Shades' of Grey R rating doesn't really come as a surprise although there were some who thought that it should also include an NC-17 version.
"This is just my opinion and this doesn't mean this is going to happen, but I always though it would be really cool if we released the R version and then we had an NC-17 version that we released a few weeks later," Fifty Shades producer Dana Brunetti said. "So everybody could go and enjoy the R version, and then if they really wanted to see it again and get a little but more gritty with it then have that NC-17 version out there as well."
The news of 50 Shades R rating has since gone viral on the Internet. Many were expecting nothing less from the movie adaptation of the E. L. James' super popular BDSM erotica book.
"What we're kind of hearing from fans is they want it dirty, they want it as close as possible to [the book]," Brunetti said. "We want to keep it elevated, but also give the fans what they want"
Fifty Shades of Grey stars Jamie Dornan, Marcia Gay Harden, Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Ehle and Luke Grimes.
