Brian Williams Daughter - Allison Williams' sex scene in the first episode of the fourth season premiere of HBO's Girls is causing raves - not just because of the scene's raunchy nature, but because she watched it with her father.
26-year-old Allison and her NBC Nightly News Anchor father Brian Williams watched the premiere together at NYC's Lincoln Center.
The 55-year-old broadcaster sat with his daughter and watched the scene, which involved Ebon Moss-Bachrach's character planting his face into the Allison's bare ass.
"I read it in the script and I went into total action mode," Allison said. "I got everyone together and I was like' All right, Grace [in wardrobe], you and me-we're going to come up with something so ingenious that he is going to feel comfortable."
Allison Williams also revealed that she asked her parents for advice on how to approach filming the scene which involved the Peter Pan actress wearing Spanx, menstrual pads and smearing vanilla cream on her body. While the crew had her wear an invisible garment "that feels like a pillow when he puts his face into it," Allison said.
"I got some advice from my parents, because they too are veterans of the show, so their thinking has changed as well," she said taking to her parents about a guy planting his face in her butt on national television was a normal conversation. "Just your regular dinner conversation! We're changing as a family, it's lovely."
Brian Williams, who watched his daughter's performance in the scene, said he was alright with it as long as nobody got hurt during filming.
"She's always been an actress. For us, watching her is the family occupation and everybody has to remember it's acting, no animals were harmed during the filming, and ideally nobody gets hurt," Brian Williams said.
But not everyone has been so opened-minded about the father and daughter watching the awkward scene together. Co-star Jemima Kirke said she was disgusted sitting by Allison and her father during the premiere.
"I sat behind Allison and her dad and I was going to puke," Kirke said. "I was so nervous. I don't even know him, but can you imagine? watching a kissing scene with my dad next to me is awful, let alone with you getting-whatever that's called-motoboated in your ass!".
Lena Dunham, the write and creator of the award winning series, has praised Brian William's daughter for being willing to try the scene.
"Let me tell you this, when someone puts their face in you butt, whether there's a barrier or not, their face is still in your butt. And she handled that with aplomb," Dunham said adding that all scenes are necessary that's why they are included.
Cast member Alex Karpovsky said this episode represents a sexual revolution in television which mirrors the future.
"Maybe that's one of the cliffs or perks that we need to begin to incorporate into our societal representation of this revolution, specifically in television. This could be the year of the anus," Karpovsky said.
