Debbie Reynolds - Hollywood legendary actress Debbie Reynolds, who played an active role in the golden era of the film industry, is set to receive a Life Time Achievement award, honoring her contributions to acting.
On Sunday, 82-year-old Debbie Reynolds, who has appeared in over 50 movies in an amazing career which started in the 1950s, will receive the 2015 Life Time Achievement Award at the 21st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
According to reports, Debbie Reynolds, who featured in classic films like The Unsinkable Molly Brown and How the West Was Won, will be presented the award by her daughter, actress, novelist and screenwriter Carrie Fisher.
"I fooled them, all, I'm still alive to accept this award," an enthusiast Reynolds says of her longevity. "I've been fortunate to have been in some great movies with some good roles."
Debbie Reynolds, who is also an Emmy, Oscar and Tony award winner, will be honored with the award, which recognizes actors that embody the "finest ideals of the acting profession."
The star-studded event will be held at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles, California.
Debbie Reynolds was born in El Paso, Texas. At the age of 20, she starred in the 1952 classic Singin' in the Rain alongside heavy weights Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor.
She describes her role in the film as the best she as ever performed in her decorated career, although it required a grueling 14 hour practice to get those dance steps right.
"It's the best role in the best film that I've been a part of," she says. "I was luck to in the picture."
"Gene Kelly was one of the greatest dancers of all time and a taskmaster," Debbie said. "He sought from you the absolute best- and he got it."
