Judge Audrey Creighton - A 25-year-old man has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping and assaulting a Montgomery circuit court judge, who was his ex-girlfriend.
Rickley Senning and Judge Audrey Creighton were in a relationship at the time the incident happened on May 19th. Senning, who was living at Judge Audrey Creighton's home in Dickerson, Md., admitted to being drunk and forcing the judge to drive at a very high speed out of her will.
Rickley Senning, who was scheduled to go on trial on Feb. 17, reached a plea deal with prosecutors. He pleaded guilty to one count of false imprisonment, one count of second-degree assault and one count of DWI.
According to reports, prosecutors agreed to drop the serious accusation of kidnapping. Senning was given a ten-year sentence, with all but three years suspended, and five years of probation.
Judge Audrey Creighton had in the past represented Senning, while she was still a public defender. In May, Senning was drunk and following an argument, he dragged Judge Audrey Creighton into her BMW, and forced her to drive at a very fast speed to Gaithersburg.
He reportedly pulled her by the hair and pushed her knees so her foot rested on the accelerator. She was able to escape when they stopped at a Harris Teeter store, where she called 911.
Senning continued driving recklessly in the judge's vehicle before he crashed into a Mercedes and injured a teenage boy. The 13-year-old is still recovering after suffering a depressed skull fracture.
Despite injuring the boy, Senning did not stop and escaped to Florida where authorities later caught up with him.
"The judge was involved in a relationship that was clearly inappropriate that led to the incident for which Mr. Senning is now spending three years in jail," said William Wallace, Senning's attorney."She lied to police after the incident, she obstructed justice and we are hoping the judicial disabilities and appropriate prosecutors will take appropriate steps."
However, Judge Audrey Creighton was appointed to the bench in April. Although her relationship with Senning was queried, she was appointed to a 15-year term on the bench.
