The "puffy" ball gown was a scene stealer at the event when Rihanna arrived late. The dress was likened to a pink loofah on Twitter. It was also created as Nicki Minaj's hair.
Some pictures also showed Rihanna's gown as a lacy umbrella. The dress made into an umbrella was also photoshopped as the singer's prop while performing her hit single "Umbrella."
Social media users have various comments about Rihanna's infamous gown. Some pointed out that it is similar to what a 15 year-old girl would wear during her Quinceañera, a traditional Latin American birthday celebration wherein the girls don elaborate gowns, Huffington Post reported.
Other netizens said that it resembled to a "cake topper." A Twitter user said that Rihanna looked liked the Barbie doll on top of the cake for her fourth birthday.
More hilarious photos surfaced showing Nemo from the Disney animated film "Finding Nemo" lost in the pop star's gown. Peter Griffin from Family Guy was also transformed as Rihanna on the red carpet.
Several Internet users agreed that Rihanna's Giambattista Valli gown resembled the indigestion medicine Pepto-Bismol, which is also in a bubblegum pink color.
"The Monster" singer admitted to Ryan Seacrest that she bought the gown online after she "fell in love" with it. A Twitter user was able to relate to Rihanna and posted that it's good to know that the singer also makes bad decisions during Internet shopping.
During the Grammy Awards show, Rihanna mostly struggled while walking with the heavy gown. She had to pull it up several times.

At the after party, Rihanna changed her outfit into a navy blue fitted jumpsuit. The singer maintained her classy updo and simple make up, which made her glow. She partied with other stars at 1OAK in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Rihanna is set to release an album produced by Kanye West. The release date has not been confirmed yet but the hashtag #R8 is already circulating in social media in reference to her eight studio album, according to TIME.
