Karlie Kloss, a Victoria's Secret Angel no more? Recently, the 22-year-old famed supermodel is reportedly leaving one of the world's biggest lingerie brand, Victoria's Secret. She has been statuesquely walking the Victoria's Secret fashion shows since 2011 and was hailed as an official Angel since early 2013.
Karlie Kloss seems to be a fallen angel now after reports claim she has apparently quit Victoria's Secret following several scheduling conflicts, The Daily Mail revealed. It was also reported that her decision to leave the lingerie brand might be because of the fact that she's attending NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study in the fall.
"Karlie is stepping down from her Angel duties," an insider told People. "She's got a busy but exciting year ahead and the decision came down to timing. She'll be focusing on her modeling career, new business opportunities and NYU starting in the fall."
Karlie Kloss' NYU admission broke out this week in Vogue's March issue. Apparently, NYU alum Christy Turlington Burns was responsible in writing Kloss' letter of recommendation and she got in. In her interview, she expressed her desires in continuing her education but stressed she will still be modeling as the face of popular brands including Kate Spade NY and L'Oreal Paris.
"[It is] something that I've wanted to do for a very long time," she stated before adding, "I'll still be working full-time. I'm incredibly ambitious and have lots of goals within my career that I'm not slowing down on anytime soon."
Meanwhile, a representative for Victoria's Secret has confirmed to Us Weekly on Friday, Feb. 20, that supermodel Karlie Kloss is ending her contract with the lingerie company. In an Instagram post, Victoria' Secret Executive Ed Razek released a statement about Kloss' decision to leave the brand, E! News reported.
"Karlie and I met several months ago to discuss the many things she hoped to do in her life and career. As we talked, it became clear she would not have the time to fulfill her myriad commitments," Razek wrote. "Reluctantly, we agreed she would leave the brand at the end of her contract... Her future is unlimited, and I am excited to see all the good she will do. Karlie Kloss will always be an Angel to me."
Some rumors also said Karlie Kloss is leaving Victoria's Secret because of her relationship with Joshua Kushner, whom she met at a VS party in 2012. According to New York Post's Page Six, Kushner is a 29-year-old successful and conservative entrepreneur behind a private venture capital firm and an heir of Kushner Properties.
