The divorce news was confirmed by a source close to Bobby Flay to Us Weekly. As said by the insider, famed celebrity chef, Bobby Flay and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" actress Stephanie March have indeed separated after a decade of marital bliss. The source also added the separation happened several weeks ago since the 50-year-old Food Network chef moved out of their apartment in New York.
"There was a gradual falling apart of their relationship," a source told New York Post's Page Six. "The couple grew apart, and both are very sad about the split."
Divorce is now brewing for Bobby Flay and Stephanie March. The soon-to-be ex-couple, who have been married since 2005, have been struggling with their relationship over the past year-and-a-half. According to TMZ, separation talks escalated last year when Flay allegedly didn't visit his wife in the hospital after she was hospitalized for an appendix burst.
March was reportedly enraged when Flay said he was busy with work. Though he offered to send his assistant to help, the celebrity chef had to leave before she was discharged.
Bobby Flay's hectic schedule and heavy workload were also fueling the divorce. In February, the soon-to-be exes were supposed to celebrate their milestone 10th wedding anniversary together. However, they didn't because Flay was at the Food & Wine Festival in Florida.
"I think she'd like me to work a little bit less, for sure," Flay said about his heavy workload during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning last December. "That's never going to change, you know?"
Meanwhile, another reason that sparked Bobby Flay's divorce is his reputation with women. Flay has been linked to several women during their marriage, including January Jones and Giada De Laurentiis. However, he's denied any romantic involvement.
New York Daily News revealed 40-year-old March was aware of the unending speculations about his cheating rendezvous. In 2010, rumors exploded that Flay was having an affair with "Mad Men" actress January Jones when he appeared on the scene after she got into an accident in L.A.
Then in December 2014, Bobby Flay was spotted at dinner with fellow chef Giada De Laurentiis at Cecconi's at Soho Beach House Miami just days before she announced her divorce with husband Todd Thompson after 11 years of marriage.
Both Flay and Di Laurentiis have denied the relationship with Flay saying the incident was just an outing to them as "two colleagues and old friends had a quick dinner." While Di Laurentiis said Flay is one of her longtime friends and their relationship has never been romantic, we previously reported.
