After two decades, Gisele Bündchen, who has a staggering net worth of $386 million, is finally retiring from the catwalk. On Wednesday, April 15, the 34-year-old Brazilian stunner took one last strut from the runway.
Following her international success as one of the world's most famed supermodels with an astounding net worth, Gisele Bündchen confidently flaunted her modelling skills for one last time during the Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil. According to Daily Mail, Bündchen wore a selection of summery ensembles for Colcci.
Despite her sudden retirement from the fashion scene, Gisele Bündchen, has vowed to continue working in the industry. The mom-of-two and NFL quarterback Tom Brady's wife also said she wanted to spend more time with her family.
"Automatically my body tells me if what I do is worth it, and it asked to stop," she told the Folha de São Paulo newspaper on Saturday. "I respect my body, it's a privilege to be able to stop."
"I don't see how to continue [modeling on the catwalk]... and stopping will leave room for other projects I have for myself," Bündchen continued.
During her final walk, Gisele Bündchen's family members including her parents Vania and Valdir as well as sister Gabriella, have supported her. Tom Brady, who wrote a loving message on Facebook as Us Weekly reported, was also a supportive husband from the sidelines.
Meanwhile, the Amazonian supermodel was one of the Victoria's Secret Angels from 2000 until mid-2007. Based on another Daily Mail report, she pioneered the "horse walk" on the catwalk. In 2014, Gisele Bündchen has amassed $47 million net worth. As per Forbes, her fortune was attributed to her lucrative campaigns for Chanel, Under Armor, Pantene, H&M, Carolina Herrera and others.
Listed as the 89th most powerful woman in the world who earns $128,000 per day, Gisele Bündchen is an entrepreneur in her own right with a hefty net worth value. As reported by Celebrity Net Worth, Bündchen launched a line of designer sandals, Ipanema, under the Brazilian footwear company Grendene and owns Brazilian hotel Palladium Executive. Forbes also added that her line of Hope lingerie called, Gisele Bündchen Intimates also plumps up her fortune.
In line with Gisele Bündchen's retirement, the supermodel shared a photo of herself at 14 before her first catwalk on Instagram.
"I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey," she wrote, as Daily Mirror quoted. "Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business. #firstrunway #14yearsold."
