Is ‘Paper Towns’ Star Cara Delevingne ‘Fifty Shades Darker’s’ Leila Williams? ‘Fifty Shades’ Sequel Still Uncertain?

Did Cara Delevingne already get the go signal to play Leila Williams in the upcoming "Fifty Shades" sequel "Fifty Shades Darker?" While the answer to this question is still uncertain, several reports are already claiming that Delevingne's involvement in the next "Fifty Shades" movie is a sure thing.

The 22-year-old model, who is playing a lead role in the "Paper Towns" movie adaptation, is rumored to be the top pick for the role of Leila Williams in "Fifty Shades Darker."

Delevingne is reportedly making her transition from modelling to acting this year, according to Venture Capital Post, so it won't really be surprising if she ends up snagging the role.

In the book trilogy, Leila Williams is the ex-submissive of the wealthy and dominant Christian Grey. The new character is set to be introduced in the second installment, but no word on the actress playing the character is out as of late.

Rumors have been very adamant in claiming that Delevingne is the perfect fit for the role. However, this remains to be seen since the books' author E.L. James will be hands-on in casting new actors and in writing the script for the upcoming installment.

James' bigger involvement in the franchise comes after director Sam Taylor-Johnson decided to drop out of it due to an alleged argument with James.

Though Taylor-Johnson has declined to helm the movie, actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are still up to play lead characters, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, respectively, according to Fashion & Style.

The first movie, "Fifty Shades of Grey," raked in over $500 million worldwide since its release. It is considered one of the most successful films of all time.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is set to be released sometime in 2017 instead of its supposed to be 2016 Valentine's Day release.
