Based on the official announcement from the Kensington Palace via Twitter, Kate Middleton safely delivered a baby girl. The newborn princess was born at 8:34 a.m. Saturday, May 2. The baby weighed 8 lbs. and 3 oz. But no name has been announced yet.
Present during the delivery was proud dad and 32-year-old Duke of Cambridge, Prince William. The palace also said that Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip of Edinburgh, Prince William of Wales, Duchess Camilla of Cornwall, Prince Harry as well as members of both families have been informed about the birth of Kate Middleton's second baby.
Kate Middleton, 33, and her newborn princess as both doing well. According to the Telegraph, cheering broke out just after 11:00 in the morning as the news spread that Kensington Palace had announced the birth of the second royal baby. It was first announced on its Web site then via Twitter. The announcement was the signal for the chorus of "three cheers for the royal baby" to start. It was then reportedly followed by a "hip hip hooray" from assembled well-wishers and passers-by.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton's second baby will be the fourth in line to the throne after Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George. Prince George's newborn little sister is also the first born princess into the royal family for 25 years. The 33-year-old Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital in London at 6.00 a.m. Saturday, May 2 in the same hospital where Prince George was born on July 22, 2013, as well as his dad Prince William and uncle Prince Harry. As announced on Twitter, the Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at the hospital. Us Weekly learned she was accompanied by her husband, the Duke of Cambridge.
In the meantime, Kate Middleton is expected to spend one night in Kensington Palace with her newborn baby princess and Prince George before retreating to Anmer Hall in Norfolk with Prince William and her parents, Daily Mail reported.
