Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones Reunited! ‘Ant-Man’ Actor Apologizes For Causing Humiliation to His Wife

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones will be celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary this year. Douglas says he still has until November to figure something out for the special day.

The "Wall Street" actor admits that they are doing better following their controversial public disunion two years ago.

The 70-year-old actor said that going through cancer lets you see your priorities differently. He learned how to appreciate his marriage and his children.

In 2013, Douglas revealed that his disease was from a human papillomavirus (HPV). Medical experts believed that it can be conveyed by performing oral sex, The Guardian has learned.

Initial reports stated he was diagnosed with throat cancer. Douglas later disclosed that it was tongue cancer.

This revelation hit the headlines that caused a momentary separation to the Hollywood couple. The actor's rep clarified that he was not pointing to oral sex as the cause of his cancer, rather only reckoned that it can be a cause of certain oral cancers.

The stress on his illness placed a great amount of tension in his relationship with Zeta-Jones, ABC News reported.

"It was one of those things... and I so regretted any embarrassment that it caused Catherine," he said. "And her family."

The "Behind the Candelabra" actor said they just had a little bump in the road, but they've worked things out. The reconciliation happened because both wanted to make their relationship better.

"The problem in this business is that everything is so public," he said. "I love Catherine as much, more than I ever have. And hopefully the feeling's mutual."

Meanwhile, the veteran actor landed the role of Dr. Hank Pym in Marvel's upcoming movie "Ant-Man." Despite his achievements in the entertainment industry, he admitted that he is still not an expert.

Douglas confessed that he read the comics, for the first time, after the back catalog was sent to him prior to filming, according to Irish Examiner.

The movie will be released on July 17, 2015.
