A plethora of leaks and spoilers had been infesting the much awaited "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" now that the San Diego Comic-Con is just a few days away. While most of the rumors have died down, the plot is already etched on stone. With its teaser trailer creating a lot of buzz, the big question remains: How can the Dark Knight beat the Man of Steel? Entertainment Weekly, as reported by Design & Trend, gave the answer.
They said that Batman should prepare wisely — and he will. The reinforced mech-suit is equipped not only with strength-augmenting armor but also with kryptonite. The suit design resembled the one used for the confrontation of these two superheroes in Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns."
This is in response to the rumor claim that Batman would use a Kryptonite-laced spear against Superman, and this weapon is still feasible along with the Bat's armor.
This leak would ensure that the one-on-one between the alter egos of Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent will be breathtaking. Kryptonite, of course, may not necessarily give Batman an edge. In an interview with EW, Ben Affleck said he will play a Dark Knight who is nearing the end of his cape-crusading career.
"He's on the verge of being swallowed up by the anger and the rage that we see haunt this character in the other manifestations of it," Affleck explained to EW, "But this guy is further down the line and has become more embittered and cynical."
In related news, Forbes reported that another news creating a buzz is Batman's appearance in another comic-book based film, "The Suicide Squad."
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" arrives in theaters on March 25. The film also stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor) in starring roles. Other cast include Jason Momoa (Arthur Curry/Aquaman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Ezra Miller (Barry Allen (The Flash), and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White).
