It's a sad day for the entertainment industry as actress Diana Douglas, mother of 70-year-old actor Michael Douglas, died at 92.
Last Saturday, Donald Webster, Diana's husband of 15 years, told both the Hollywood Reporter and Deadline that the actress had passed away at the Motion Picture and Television Fund nursing home in Woodland Hills, Calif., after her bout with cancer, reported E! News.
Webster also told CNN that his wife was a person much loved by everyone, and that thinking of others was one of her greatest qualities.
Diana was the first wife of actor Kirk Douglas, Michael's father. The couple met at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York where they both studied acting. He was serving at the Navy at the time and she on the other hand, graced the cover of Life. They tied the knot in 1943. After eight years of marriage, they divorced in 1951.
