Beyoncé Inspires Australian Architectural Firm To Create Skyscaper Through Music Video ‘Ghost’

Beyoncé is indeed an inspiration to a lot of people. In fact, her 2013 hit music video "Ghost" has inspired an Australian architectural firm to create a skyscraper that mimics the R&B superstar's body shape in an artistic way.

One of the most successful and multi-awarded artists in the industry today, Beyoncé is now a bona fide icon as she expanded her reach and invaded the world of architecture. According to Billboard, Australian firm Elenberg Fraser recently revealed that one of their upcoming projects is a Beyoncé-inspired skyscraper called the Premier Tower. It is a mixed-use building inspired by the undulating, stripped-down video of "Ghost," one of the singer's hit songs in her 2013 self-titled album.

"For those more on the art than science side, we will reveal that the form does pay homage to something more aesthetic -- we're going to trust you've seen the music video for Beyoncé's 'Ghost,'" the firm stated in the press release.

The firm added that Beyoncé's video "Ghost" was an influential factor in the spiraling curves of the building, which recalled the undulating movement of a woman dancing in a black cloth, E! News reported.

"The complex form-a vertical cantilever-is actually the most effective way to redistribute the building's mass, giving the best results in terms of structural dispersion, frequency oscillation and wind requirements," the firm continued.

No completion date has been confirmed as of late. The Beyoncé-inspired mixed-use Melbourne skyscraper will have 660 apartment units, a 160-room hotel and several retail stores.

Meanwhile, Elenberg Fraser explained the function of the twists and turns designs on the Beyoncé-inspired skyscraper. As said by the firm, the new project conceals its pure and simple initial principles rationale since it's a culmination of its significant research in putting its best effort to work with individual site and climactic constraints that are brought together using their new parametric modeling techniques, Business Standard has learned.
