‘Scorpion’ Season 2: Episode 1 Release Slated, Cast Teases More Details

"Scorpion" season 2 is returning to CBS. Nicholas Wootton, the show's executive producer, confirmed during the 2015 San Diego Comic-con that episode 1 will have a 90-minute run time, starting at 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

This special episode, where the rock and roll star Gene Simmons will have a cameo, follows "Supergirl's" premiere on Oct. 26, according to iDigitalTimes.

"It's going to be an incredible, big big episode for us," Wootton teased.

"Scorpion" season 2 reportedly picks up a few months following the season 1 finale events, International Business Times has learned.

Eddie Kaye Thomas, who plays the role of the behaviorist Toby Curtis, hinted that they have already started filming. He said that on July 9, they were saving Los Angeles from an atomic bomb.

The filming was confirmed by Katharine McPhee, who plays the role of the former waitress Paige, when she said that they had been back to work for three days, and they were already blown out of their minds.

In terms of relationship, this season may be fruitful for the mechanical prodigy Happy Quinn (Jadyn Wong) and Curtis'. They may have been arguing all the time in season one's early episodes, but on the latter, they started to deeply care for each other.

This is the same as true for Walter O'Brien (Elyes Gabel) and Paige's. McPhee said that she [Paige] was having "brewing" thoughts of the eccentric genius.

Fans may also hear the American Idol runner-up sing again in this season, a report from TV Guide says.

Wootton further revealed that this season would have more arcs. The first 13 episodes have already been planned, and they will be moving on once they knew what's ahead.

"Scorpion" season 2 also stars Robert Patrick (Agent Cabe Gallo), Ari Stidham (Sylvester Dodd, a statistics guru) and Riley B. Smith (Ralph, son of Paige).
