"Scandal" Season 5 Spoilers - ABC's political thriller, "Scandal," will be more fascinating as it is expected to bring more twists when its new season premieres this fall. There are also so many things, a new crisis perhaps, that could shake matters up quite a bit between Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn).
There's so much going on when it comes to "Scandal" Season 5, and much of it could stem from the fact that Olivia and Fitz finally decided to be together amid a political ascension.
With "Scandal's" cliffhanging season 4 finale and characters are just killed off whenever showrunner Shonda Rhimes decides, it will surely deliver one hell of a show this fall.
To stir up some excitement, here are 5 interesting scoops we've learned so that you wouldn't miss "Scandal" Season 5 on Sept. 24.
1. Quinn (Katie Lowes) did not kill Huck (Guillermo Diaz)
Based on the latest behind-the-scenes photo, Diaz will apparently be part of the cast this coming season, People noted. Does it mean Quinn forgive him and didn't actually pull the trigger? Or did he somehow survive the shooting? Given the fact that no one is safe in Shondaland, it's never safe to assume a beloved character stay alive.
2. Mellie (Bellamy Young) still hopes for a happy ending amid Fitz and Olivia's romance
In spite of the fact that Fitz threw Mellie out of the White House in the season 4 finale after learning about her connection with Rowan Pope, Young revealed that her character still expects a happy ending for herself even after Fitz and Olivia's kissing tryst last season, as per Hollywood Life.
"I hope ultimately that Mellie is president and Fitz is by her side and he loves her so much again and they've weathered that Olivia storm, and now they're together and it's happiness," said.
3. Olivia and Fitz's relationship in crisis?
"Scandal" Season 5 will see a crisis brewing in Fitz and Olivia's love affair especially when the former president discovers that it was Liv who leaked the names of the grand juror, who was later killed by her own henchman, Huck, International Business Times revealed.
4. Millie will plot her revenge against estranged husband and his equally fierce lover
Young hinted that Millie will do her best to fight back the rejection and will run for presidential elections after winning the senatorial race, Christian Today has learned.
"I can't imagine her saying, well I accept," she said. "Millie is the gift of a lifetime. I never know what part I'll serve in the narrative. I could be the good guy or be the bad guy. Bless our writing staff and Shonda Rhimes, they make really complicated humans."
5. Activist Marcus Walker (Cornelius Smith Jr.) is back!
Smith Jr., whose character Marcus Walker, has only appeared in a couple of episodes of the show. Now, he has been added as a series regular in "Scandal" Season 5, CarterMatt reported.
Meanwhile, tune in on ABC on Sept. 24 as "Scandal" Season 5 premieres.
