Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are the latest celebrity couple who just went to splitsville. The ex-couple are now divorced after four years of marital bliss. And because they signed a pre-nuptial agreement, the divorce was signed by the judge easily.
Since releasing a joint statement announcing their divorce, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have remained silent on social media until Tuesday. According to E! News, the 39-year-old "The Voice" judge broke his silence through a rather ridiculous post on Twitter.
"Just got off the treadmill. This calls for a drink. Bitch...," Shelton tweeted Tuesday afternoon. And when a fan responded back, Shelton joked, "It looked like one of those messin' with Sasquatch commercials..."
In line with the divorce, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert seemed to have hashed everything out in terms of their divorce settlement. Even before announcing the divorce on Monday, the ex-lovers have already divided up their assets accordingly. They were also able to keep one of their homes, their animals and finances.
Despite incessant rumors about infidelities, time apart and trust issues were the reasons that led them to separation.
"Their busy schedules were a big issue for them," a source said. "They both worked a lot and had to spend a lot of time apart. The less time they spent together, the more they grew apart. Trust was an issue for both of them. It went along with having to spend a lot of time apart. Rumors of infidelity put stress on them. Despite denials, even just rumors of cheating are still hard to hear."
Meanwhile, rumors have it that Miranda Lambert cheated on Blake Shelton with Chris Young. On Tuesday, the 30-year-old country singer released a statement on Twitter to clear his name because it was dragged into Lambert and Shelton's divorce, Daily Mail has learned.
"I don't normally address gossip but in this case I will," Young tweeted in response to the rumors Tuesday, New York Daily News quoted. "My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda's divorce. That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just wanted to clear that up. Love you guys - CY."
Meanwhile, The New York Post's Page Six noted that Miranda Lambert wanted to be a free spirit and doesn't want to have kids that's why she decided to finally call it quits with Blake Shelton.
