Mariah Carey will finally be receiving her very own star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame next week in honor of her countless achievements and contribution to the music industry.
The Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce announced on Monday that Carey, 45, will be awarded the 2,556th star on August 5 at 11:30 a.m., Billboard has learned.
Feeling immense joy and gratitude, the voluptuous diva, who has five Grammys and Billboard's Artist of the Decade Award to her name, took to her social media accounts Monday to share the good news and to thank her loyal fans for their support.
The mother of two also shared on Instagram a snap of a bright pink, glittery star adorned with her name and the recording category symbol on the Walk Of Fame.
Along with the picture was a caption that read: "Super excited and feeling so humbled about my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Thank you so much to the fans for making this happen for me. #walkoffame #hollywood #lambily."
While Lee Daniels, Brett Ratner and Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid are among those listed as guest speakers in the event, it remains unclear whether the "Butterfly" hit maker's boyfriend James Packer will attend, as per the Daily Mail.
Despite of their high-profile separation, Nick Cannon's presence in the awarding is also a big question.
No words are out yet whether Carey's ex-husband and the father of her two kids will be making an appearance in the dedication.
But until then, Cannon would have some recuperating to do as it has been reported that the "America's Got Talent" host was hospitalized due to an undisclosed reason.
Last Wednesday, the 34-year-old posted on Instagram a photo of himself in a hospital bed. Cannon, who had previously admitted to be suffering from Lupus, however, assured his fans that it wasn't anything too serious, according to USA Today.
Cannon captioned his picture with: "Dont worry, Temporary pit stop... Sometimes I can be a little too bull headed and stubborn. I gotta stop running my body to the ground. I be wanting to grind nonstop but the engine can't run on fumes. On the low though, I really think I'm a super hero... Now I'm not saying I'm Batman, but I am saying nobody has ever seen me and Batman in the same room together. LOL #ImGood."
