Ashlee Simpson's husband Evan Ross is surely over-the-moon happy after the birth of his first child with the 30-year-old songstress. The fruit of their love is a healthy baby girl, whose name has yet to be divulged.
E! News was one of the first entertainment sites to break the news that Simpson and Ross are now parents to their first child as a couple. Ashlee reportedly gave birth to their baby on Thursday night.
A source revealed that the entire family of the couple was present at the time of their daughter's birth. "Their whole family was around to support them," the source said.
The source went on to say, "Evan was very emotional and loves Ashlee so much. He did not leave her side and wanted to go through this with her every step of the way. He can't wait to be a dad. He would do anything for Ashlee and now this baby girl. Ashlee is doing great and can't wait to get home to to be with her family."
While this is Evan's first child, this is Ashlee's second time to give birth. The singer already has a son - 6-year-old Bronx - from her previous marriage to Pete Wentz.
In April, Simpson reportedly joked about the fact that it's been a long time since she gave birth to her first child, so she had to learn the basics, as per Billboard.
"I think that no matter what, with every child it's different. It feels new to me, too, and it's been six years, so I'm like, 'Here we go! We gotta learn how to get the swaddle on again!'" she said at the time.
Now that baby no. 2 is around, there is an intense feeling of excitement being exuded by first time dad Evan Ross.
"He's excited. He's so excited," Simpson previously said of her husband. at the time "He's excited that it's a girl. He thinks it's cute-the tea parties-she'll be adorable."
Ashlee Simpson and husband Evan Ross tied the knot in Aug. 2014, according to POPSUGAR. Prior to their pregnancy news, Ross revealed that he plans on having as many kids as possible.
"I would like [having kids]," he said at the time. "As many as possible."
Hence, it's not surprising that 26-year-old Evans was very happy over the pregnancy news. In June, he and his wife even threw a "beautiful" baby shower with their family and closest friends including Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson.
"The guys got a cabana and hung out for a few hours during the afternoon," an insider said of the baby shower. "They ordered food and got some sun."
