Plans for a "Batman" reboot are said to be underway for DC's Cinematic Universe. As per IMDb, the plot remains vague but Ben Affleck, who plays Batman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," will be portraying and taking the helm for the still untitled "Batman" reboot and will also be one of the producers. Geoff Johns will handle the screenplay.
According to Screen Rant, Chris Terrio will take on the task of creating the script for the spin-off in the contemporary DC Cinematic Universe. The tandem of Affleck and Terrio was said to be full of potential. The two have previously worked together in Ben Affleck's "Argo" which won an Oscars for Best Picture in 2013. Chris Terrio will also be creating the storyline for "Justice League Part 1" and "Justice League Part 2." So, he will be pretty much involved in the DC Cinematic Universe and would have a wide knowledge of their villains and heroes.
Because of the lack of valuable information coming from Warner Bros. about the upcoming "Batman" reboot, there are various speculations and ideas on what the plot would be who the cast would be in the superhero movie.
The plot potential from Wyatt Smith of Movie Pilot for the "Batman" reboot was that of Joker threatening to release his fatal Joker gas onto Gotham City in less than 24 hours. Batman and the rest of his team and allies will avert Joker's plan of chaos and destruction. How this would connect other characters from the DC Cinematic Universe would is yet to be revealed.
The characters for the "Batman" reboot would be Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Matt Bomer as Dick Grayson/Nightwing and Asa Butterfield as Tim Drake/Robin among others.
The "Batman" reboot should be something to look out for. It's target release date is in November 2018.
