The "Ghostbusters 3" cast surprised patients in Tufts Medical Centre Floating Hospital for Children in Boston when they arrived in full ghost hunting getup!
Stars Kristen Wiig who plays Erin Gilbert, Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann, Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan and Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates visited the children's hospital to spread some love and cheer on Saturday while on break from filming "Ghostbusters 3."
The quartet posed with patients who gladly took a picture with them, Kristen Wiig even cradled a baby in one of the photos posted by Tufts Medical Center on their Facebook page, as per Metro. Check out the lovely pictures here.
According to ComingSoon.Net, the hospital absolutely enjoyed the efforts of the ladies and even placed a message on their social media account that said, "Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center patients got a huge surprise today when Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones came to visit! Thank you for taking the time out of filming today to put a big smile on our patients faces! #WhoYouGonnaCall #Ghostbusters."
The reboot titled "Ghostbusters 3," helmed by Paul Feig, also stars Andy Garcia as the City Mayor of New York, Matt Walsh as Rourke, Michael K. Williams as Hawkins and "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth as the secretary of the ladies. Neil Casey is set to be the film's villain. Set to appear as news anchor is New York City's NY1's Pat Kiernan. Dan Aykroyd who starred and co-created the original "Ghostbusters" will also have a cameo role.
In related news, Ivan Reitman who directed the two original "Ghostbusters" films and Dan Aykroyd, announced last March that they would be reinventing the "Ghostbusters" franchise after it was obvious that "Ghostbusters 3" was not happening without Harold Ramis and Bill Murray.
According to Forbes, Reitman stated, "We want to expand the 'Ghostbusters' universe in ways that will include different films, TV shows, merchandise, all things that are part of modern filmed entertainment. This is a branded entertainment, a scary supernatural premise mixed with comedy."
There were still a lot of specifics though that were quite unclear regarding the "Ghostbusters" franchise including the rumors of Channing Tatum's and Chris Pratt's involvement in the project but the two actors have since denied the reports.
But for now, the one thing that is crystal is that "Ghostbusters 3" is currently filming and will hit your screen when you ask "Who you gonna call?" on July 22, 2016.
