Last summer, rumors about McNairy playing Olsen surfaced when he was photographed sporting bright green socks for some CGI work. As per early speculations, Olsen may have been injured amid the battle between Superman and Zod, which may have apparently caused him his legs.
If the rumors were true, then McNairy could play a very important role in Superman's storyline. Warner Bros. has yet to confirm this of course, so fans should just wait for official announcements.
